How to Get Free Candles
There are several ways you can get freebie candles. Here’s what I know and have learned other people successfully used in the past to get their candles:
1. Get directly from candle companies
The easiest way to receive candle freebies is to seek candle companies directly online.
Many big companies like Yankee have websites and online stores, while smaller companies are often found either in Etsy selling candles there or using Facebook as their product’s home base. Either way, there’s a good chance these companies give away free candle samples every now and then, so make sure to follow as many companies as possible.
2. Go to coupon sites for free or super low-priced candles
If you’re planning to buy candles and want to have them at lower prices than you usually buy them for, I suggest you stop by any of your favorite coupon sites. The savings will be worth your time.
For example, if you’re after Yankee candle coupons, check Coupons.com, Groupon, Slickdeals, Offers.com, Krazy Coupon Lady, and other coupon websites always get first dibs on good deals. Brad’s Deals has famously featured Yankee candle coupons with discounts up to 90% off.
3. Join Rewards and Survey sites to earn points for candle purchases
If you’re already a member of Swagbucks, InboxDollars, MyPoints, InstaGC, QuickRewards, and other trusted rewards sites, continue to use it to earn more points. If you’ve just heard about these sites now, make sure to register and use them as much as you can with your online shopping, surfing, watching videos, game-playing, and other online tasks.
Survey sites like Toluna, Survey Junkie, Vindale Research, and Pinecone Research reward you with points for every review you answer. The more surveys you complete, the more points you’re able to save up.
Once you’ve earned enough points from rewards and survey sites, you can redeem the points for gift cards or cash. I recommend you go with Amazon gift cards if you’re after free Yankee candles – the giant retailer features all Yankee products available.
4. Write Candle Reviews in exchange for free candles
Sites like Brand Awareness Club and Viralix (formerly known as Rank Booster) exist so you can connect to Amazon sellers, who are looking for real people to review their products.
In most cases, the products are given free or at heavily discounted prices in exchange for your review. Some sellers may request you to post this review on a blog, on your social media, or on Amazon itself.
If you’re lucky, you can get free candles and other products using this method.
5. Check out Candle Samples from Promotional Companies
If you’re planning to buy a ton of candles, you can check out companies that create customized, promotional items if they’re giving away samples.
For example, ADCO Marketing, Femme Promo, Any Promo, US Promo Items, and other similar sites may be willing to give you free candles if you show interest in buying bulk. Sometimes, they may require you to show business documentation.
6. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
If you have plenty of old candles or crayons lying around, it’s time to make a do-it-yourself candle project. Your kids would love this, too!
You no longer need to hunt for candle freebies. Just follow these simple tips:
- Melt similar-smelling candles. Having too many scented candles all blended together may give you an undesirable candle in the end.
- Cut old candles and crayons into smaller pieces before melting.
- Get a shot glass, old mug, or other ceramic/glass you can use as a mold.
- You can also recycle the wick from old candles.
- Spray the mold with cooking spray so it is easier to slide out once the new candle gets cold.
